AUCKLAND, New Zealand (24 April, 2023) – Market leading tyre company, Bridgestone, has once again been New Zealand's Most Trusted Tyre Brand in the annual Reader's Digest Most Trusted Brands survey.
Bridgestone took out the coveted title for the seventh straight year, with the Firestone brand also highly commended in the tyre category.
The annual Reader's Digest's Most Trusted Brand survey sees New Zealanders asked to rank the brands they turn to and put their faith in across more than 71 categories and more than 500 brands.
According to Bridgestone's Director of New Zealand Business, John Staples, it's no coincidence that Bridgestone has retained the title for seven straight years.
"We're honoured to be New Zealand's Most Trusted Tyre Brand for a seventh successive year, and it and speaks to the unquestionable quality and reliability of Bridgestone tyres," Mr Staples said.
"We're proud of our achievements and the trust we've built with New Zealanders, and we're excited for our future as we continue to innovate and provide even more reasons for motorists to put their trust in Bridgestone.
"New Zealand motorists consistently identify our brand with quality and trust. This is a reflection of the significant investment Bridgestone makes into research and development to ensure that our tyres are suitable for local conditions, and that customers can put their full confidence in the Bridgestone name," he added.
Bridgestone continues to invest in its future as a sustainable solutions company, not only through its own product development, but through its newly established 'Bridgestone E8 Commitment', focusing on eight values solidifying our commitment to a more sustainable world.
An example of the Bridgestone E8 Commitment in action is Bridgestone's support of the EVolocity programme, which sees students design and build electric vehicles, and the company's unwavering commitment to the RYDA road safety education programme, supporting safer roads through youth education.
"The most important factor influencing a motorist's choice of car tyre is absolute reliability in all sorts of conditions, and that's why Bridgestone tyres are trusted for quality, safety and performance," said Louise Waterson, editor-in-chief of Reader's Digest magazine.
"In being voted New Zealand's Most Trusted Tyre brand for the seventh consecutive year, Bridgestone has shown an unyielding commitment to the safety of the motoring public. Congratulations to all the team at Bridgestone for this outstanding achievement."
Bridgestone's seventh straight victory as New Zealand's Most Trusted Tyre Brand is also supported by recent customer service awards for the Bridgestone Select and Bridgestone Tyre Centre network, winning an impressive fourth consecutive Gold in the Tyre Retailer category of Reader's Digest's annual Quality Service Awards last year.
"We have a commitment to our customers to provide safe, reliable and quality tyres, as well as deliver trusted, expert service. Our continued success as New Zealand's Most Trusted Tyre Brand, as well as our ongoing success in the Quality Service Awards highlights how we are living up to this expectation," Mr Staples added.
